General Information
Player Insurance
To be eligible for player insurance all details of each player must be registered on the team card. The captain is responsible for marking off all players on the team card every time they play. Players will not be covered by insurance if they injure themselves without being registered and marked off on the card for that game. Players are reminded that they play at their own risk. Player insurance cover does not cover all cost, and players should read the insurance schedule for more information.
Bonus Points
- Teams who pay in full and update their team card prior to the commencement of the game will receive a bonus competition point.
Champions Jug
Each week in every grade, the champions jug will be contested. The jug will be held initially by the reigning premiers (or a team randomly drawn if the premiers in that grade doesn't re-nominate). The holder of the jug will be playing to defend the jug each round they play. If they are beaten then the winning team becomes the holder of the jug.
Note:
- The jug will be kept at the NICC.
- Only one free jug per team, additional jugs may be purchased at $6.50 each.
- If a tie occurs the holders of the jug will retain it.
- Teams must be financial to recieve the jug.
Matching Team Shirts
Teams must be in exact matching uniform by the 6th round (except for netball, soccer and dodgeball). For further clarification on exact matching ask at the counter. Shirt penalties will affect the offending team's score.
M.V.P.
The Most valuable player in each grade of Cricket, Netball, Soccer and Dodgeball will be awarded a prize at the end of the season. Players will be awarded using the following system:
Cricket
Best Batter: 1 point
Best Bowler: 1 point
Umpires Choice: 1 point
Netball
Umpires choice for each team (1 point each)
Soccer
Umpires choice for each team (1 point each)
Dodgeball
Umpires choice for each team (1 point each)
Results will be displayed on the internet and results board. If in the event of a tie at the end of the season the player playing the least games will be the winner.
MVP points will not start until round five.
Forfeit Policy
As you would understand there is nothing worse than finding out a few hours before your game that the other team has decided to forfeit, if you need players for whatever reason please contact the NICC so that we can organise players for you – there is also a list of people who want to join a team permanently at the counter.
Teams must give a minimum of 48 hours notice of not being able to play, otherwise a forfeit will result in a game fee fine equal to the cost of the usual game fee, as well as a deduction in your team's championships points. This fee must be paid before your next game. Teams forfeiting consistently will be removed from the competition.
Note : If you need to change a game time please see the counter staff, giving as much notice as possible, as we will always try our best to accommodate teams requests.
Code of Conduct
By nominating at the centre you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct at all times (copies of the Code of Conduct are available at the counter).
Team Cards
Team cards must be filled out completely. This includes names, DOBs, phone numbers and addresses, as well as ticking each player who plays each round. This is very important for insurance reasons, Club membership purposes and player qualifications. Strict privacy policies apply.
Scoring Structure
Win - 3 Points
Loss - 0 Points
Skins - 1 Point each
Note: In cricket a skin is each corresponding batting pair against each other. In netball and soccer each quarter is considered a skin and hence the winner of each quarter receives one point.
Finals Qualifications
- Finals will be played on your regular night, however game times may vary.
- A player must have played at least four preliminary round games in order to qualify for finals. Forfeits against you allow any players to be selected. Players must be ticked off on team card to be eligible to play in finals.
- Teams must be financial in order to play finals.
We hope that you enjoy your playing experience at the NICC.
